The guesthouse is owned by Åse and run by her along with Margherita, who is originally from Italy. The main house was built by Åse's great-grandfather in 1918 and is one of the very few buildings in the Finnmark region that was not burned down by the Germans as they retreated from the liberating Russians in 1944.
