238 1110471  ·  General view along the side of the square. An unusual museum (no photography) is dedicated to high-altitude archaeology. It's centred around the bodies of three small children, sacrificed 500 years ago by the Incas by freezing them at 6740m altitude near the top of the Llullaillaco volcano in Salta province. The very well-preserved bodies were found in 1999.
