144 1110208 · The next morning we left the hotel at 6am to reach the Tatio geyser field by sunrise at 7.15. It's at 4300m, and in the early morning chill (it was -5C) the steam condenses; later in the day it doesn't condense and can't be seen as the very dry air is warmer.
