Cuenca is a lovely small city in a hilly, rugged landscape. The old part of Cuenca is on a dramatic site, rambling up a slope only a couple of hundred metres wide between two sheer-sided gorges. Balconied houses hang over the cliff edges. The footbridge links to the Parador.
